I hear ya... Anyone who says that eating isn't habit-forming has never eaten. :-) Being sensitive to how your mood impacts your eating habits is a big help. I saw a few minutes of an episode of Dr. Phil a few years ago in which he told a woman who was having trouble losing weight that since she was used to snacking while watching TV in the evening she should schedule her treadmill time for then. Not bad advice, even if it was from Dr. Phil. :-)

Thanks! There's probably something to that, so perhaps things will continue to improve as your excercise efforts ramp up.

I’m no health expert, but I took up jogging again a few weeks ago, and noticed that my appetite decreased, particularly in the ‘boredom eating’ category. I hope it gets easier from here on.I've had to stop and think more in the last couple of years about whether I'm actually hungry--often I am, but sometimes I'm just in the habit of eating a certain amount, and other times I'm tired or lonely or empty in some other way. Realizing what's going on helps.

Good going!
